Agriculture is a hugely lucrative sector, and graduates from agriculture can find a job with the biggest companies in the country.
With so many opportunities to start their careers, it can be daunting to know what you need to know to get started.
Here are six things to consider when you’re planning to become a farmer.
Get a farm contract Farming is a highly regulated sector, with contracts issued by government agencies and with the help of the Department of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada.
So how do you apply for one?

“That means they are supposed to be responsible for overseeing the operations of the farm, but they also are supposed, they are required by law to ensure that the farmer is getting the best and most consistent product.”
If you’re looking to start a farm, you need a farm certification, MacKay adds.
Learn the basics of farm operations When you’re applying for a farm farm contract, you should learn basic farm management principles, such as how to use pesticides, harvest, and care for the land.
“The most important thing you need is basic knowledge of how to manage a farm in a safe and sustainable way,” says David Krasny, director of agriculture and agri-food studies at the University of Guelph.
“Farmers who have a lot of experience, especially when it comes to a farm where they have to be very self-sufficient, will be able to better manage their farms, and make sure that they’re getting the most bang for their buck,” he adds.
“Agri-techs and other technology are becoming more popular as a way to manage the farm more efficiently and efficiently.
That means that it’s easier to integrate those things into a farm.”
Work with farmers to learn about the industry Agriculture is still an under-recognized industry, and many farmers don’t know much about it.
In a survey by the University the Agricultural Marketing Society, 71% of respondents didn’t know that agribuying was an industry, or that there are different types of agribustrators, and that it has a number of different jobs.
Agribusying is a small, but growing, sector of agriculture.
According to the U.S. Department of Labor, agribushubs, which are the main type of agropub, employ about 150,000 people.
But, like other types of farming, it’s also a booming industry.
Agropubs account for about 10% of all farm jobs in Canada, and the number is expected to increase by 5% by 2025.
In addition to the farm contracts, farmers need to work with a farmer to learn the different jobs available in the industry.
“You’re basically learning everything that you can about the farming industry and how it works,” says MacKay.
“When you’re a farmer, it may take some time, but once you do that, you will be better prepared.”
Take a look at the industry as a whole It’s important to get a broad view of what agribuses is, and what makes it different from other sectors.
Agri crops are grown in many different countries, and they are all harvested by different methods.
“We are looking at the whole system, from the seed, to the crops, to their nutrition, to how they are transported and sold and how they’re consumed,” Krasnys says.
“It’s a whole system of farming.”
While agribums produce a lot, they’re not all created equal.
For example, “You’ve got a lot more of the crop grown in a particular place than in a different place,” says Krasnick.
“So you have to consider the area where it’s grown, and how that affects the climate, the soil, and you’re going to get different results depending on the location.”
Learn more about the agribut industry Before you start working in the field, it is important to know the history of the agri industry and its impact on agriculture in Canada.
It’s also important to understand how the agro-ecosystems work and what they’re all about.
“This is the world of agri, it really is, but the agriculture is so much bigger,” says Masegawa.
“In a lot in agriculture, it used to be a bunch of fields, and then a bunch more fields.
