An “unusual” cockroach has been spotted chewing on a cucumber in rural Alabama.
The cockroach, dubbed “Dangerously Delicious” by a local resident, was caught by a farmer’s son in the woods.

Mr Kuzma, who also said he is a veterinarian, said he had heard about cockroaches eating cucumbers for a while and thought he was in the minority.
“I didn’t think it was uncommon, but when I first heard about this I thought it was the exception and it was only going to be a small population of a certain type,” he said.
Mr Kusma said he thought his son’s “unique” pest control technique might have saved his family.
“It seems like a harmless insect and we’ve seen a lot of cockroches in the past, so I guess they could be eating the cucumbers that were in the fields,” he added.
